ADA Celebrates more than 35 consecutive years in Software Development
More than 1000 Clients and over 2000 Companies in Cyprus and Abroad entrusted ADA Software for their computerization since 1985. ADA has released in 2021 the NEW VERSION OF SOFTWARE ADA SOFTWARE 12 with extra facilities and even easier to use.
Founded in 1985 as a limited liability company under the name ADA Computer Education Ltd, it was the first Computer Training Institute in Limassol, registered with the Ministry of Education, with subsidized courses from the Cyprus Industrial Training Authority.
ADA provides a complete range of computer software services, including design, development, supply, installation and training. After-sales service, maintenance and upgrading of software are important services for the smooth and uninterrupted operation of any business. ADA also provides consulting services for software and hardware, and various other related services, such as data recovery.
The founder and Managing Director, Athos D. Tillyris, who graduated with honors from the University of Essex, UK, in 1980, is one of the pioneers in Computer Science in Cyprus. He was the founder and first president of the Cyprus Information Technology Companies Association (a member of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and a Board member of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He has represented Cyprus at many International Conferences and IT exhibitions abroad.
The company developed its own software, initially by specializing in the tourism and shipping sectors as well as ship management, and became a pioneer in the Cyprus market. Shortly it expanded into applications software such as Accounting, Stock Control & Invoicing, Payroll, Fixed Assets and Job Costing, covering the entire spectrum of business applications. In 1997 ADA made its first software installation abroad (Germany).
The company continued to expand and, in 2001, was the first Cypriot software company to develop its own ERP software in Windows, based on the needs of the Cyprus market. ADA developed new software for insurance agents, building contractors, for Members Register, Library and Archive Management, Timesheets and invoicing for Law and Audit firms and various other custom- made applications specializing in specific business needs.
In 2005, ADA became a Microsoft Empower ISV Partner. In 2007, the company signed an agreement with Amadeus (Online Ticketing & Reservations System) to automatically import data into its own travel software (Back Office). The software is offered, at the same time, for SABRE.
In 2006, ADA acquired its own new offices. An area has been set up as a Computer Museum (the only one in Cyprus), where one can see the development of computers since their earliest stages.

1985 1st Offices 1985
Registered as private liability company with name ADA COMPUTER EDUCATION LTD. The company founder and owner is Mr. Athos D. Tillyris.
The 1st Computer Training Centre in Limassol, approved by the Ministry of Education and from the Industrial Training Authority of Cyprus (ANAΔ).
1986
Computer Software and Hardware Consultancy Services.
Became member of the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EBEL).
1987
Computer Software Development for Travel and Shipping Business.
The first 2 major contracts for full computerization of HANSEATIC SHIPPING CO LTD (one of the major Ship management companies in the world) and AEOLOS CYPRUS TRAVEL BUREAU (one of the major Travel Agencies in Cyprus) under Unix and Novell respectively.
1988
Release the first version of Business Applications Software Packages for Accounting, Stock Control and Payroll under DOS, XENIX, NOVELL and UNIX.
1991
Established as the major Software Supplier for SHIPPING and TRAVEL in Cyprus.
1993
Release three new Package Suits, HEFESTUS Accounting Suit, HERMES Travel Agents Suit and POSEIDON Shipping and Ship management Suit.
1994
A major contract for the Computerization of the Foreign Accounts of the Commercial Bank of Greece S.A.
1997
The first sale abroad for THOMAS SCHULTE SHIPPING in Germany.
1998
Release of DHEDALUS, a Windows based Accounting Package, perhaps the best ever Accounting program in Cyprus.
1999
ADA Computer Education Ltd was also registered under the name ADA COMPUTER SOFTWARE under which it is trading now.
Preparation for Y2K. All necessary changes to Software were made so all systems to run without any problems on 1st January 2000.
2001
Release of ADA-WIN-Series SOFTWARE with the following 5 packages. ADA-ACCS, ADA-PAY, ADA-STOCK, ADA-ASSETS, ADA-COST which is perhaps the most powerful suit of Windows Accounting Software in Cyprus. And this is just the beginning. !!!

Release of ADA-ERP The 1st ERP Software Made in Cyprus. A much lower cost ERP based on Cyprus facts, easy to use with a very small Implementation time and no training cost.
Release of ADA-INSURE for Insurance Agents and Brokers.
Release of the Russian Version of Ada Accounting.
2004
Release of ADA-BOND a complete Warehouse and Bonded Software.
Release of ADA-RETAIL an Accounting, Stock Control and POS Software for small business.
Release of ADA-ERP-SQL our Win-ERP Software running under MS-SQL Servers for large Business Accounts.
2005 ADA's 20th Anniversary !
We celebrate 20 years in the development of quality Software for Business Applications. ADA grew thanks to his Clients loyalty and support from a small Software House to one of the most reputable Software Houses in Cyprus.

ADA joined JCC Card Payment System and offers 18 Interest Free Installments when you buy ADA Software.
ADA bought new spacious offices in NAAFI are and plan to move by January of 2006.

2006 Moving to our new offices
On the 18th January 2006 we have moved to our own spacious new offices at Naafi Area in Limassol. We intent to offer to our Clients and Employees even better service and better working conditions in a modern work environment of 400 sq. meters using the latest facilities in Computer and Office Technology. Our visitors may even visit our Computer History Room and able to see the evolution of Computers and Software during the last 35 years.

Prepare a CD for Euro guidance for our Clients.
Release new Software covering size, colour, dimensions, Material Matrix ADA-COLOUR.
Tested and offer ADA Software under the new two extremely powerful products of Microsoft, Windows-Vista and Microsoft-SQL-2005.
Release of ADA-MED a Software running under Microsoft SQL for Pharmaceutical Industries.
Release of a new product for Travel Agents ADA-TOURS, perhaps the most powerful program for Incoming Tours Operators.
ADA has been certified as Amadeus BOS Software Provider for the Travel Industry.

2008
Successful introduction to EURO for all ADA Clients from 1st January 2008. Ada released a new Package Supply Chain Management for Traveling Salesmen using small Notebooks in the Vans. Also released ADA-SERVICE for Service Maintenance & Repairs.
2009
Ada has been chosen from all IT companies to be visited by the director of the European Commission in Brussels on IT Technology Mr. Costas Andropoulos. Mr. Andropoulos spent a week at ADA and visited with ADA Managing Director the EU Offices in Cyprus, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussion were how Cyprus will benefit from EU in the area of Software.
2010 ADA's 25th Anniversary !

Ada released a LIBRARY SOFTWARE for Books & Collectibles. It is the 1st of its kind in Cyprus, much easier, powerful and at a very low price compared to the imported software. It is suitable for any kind of library small, medium or large, for schools and municipal and private libraries. It does not only covers books but also any kind of collectible items. It is indeed a significant landmark in our History, and this qualifies ADA as the Oldest privately owned Software House in Cyprus, with 35 consecutive years in operation.
